If I remember correctly, the Scoobies don't even find out about it until Gregor spills it in Spiral. I wouldn't put it past the Council to withhold something that vital, but I don't think they even have that info yet. I mean I know Buffy does not have many friends (Sophie is not on the scene as yet) but really…Spike…Why don''t they just kill him?
Love Anya in this episode and Willow and Tara.
And also loved the remark about the magic shop. Often empty but every now and then there are like a million people in there.
Lola
ps Happy New YearAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063141388797173496.post-4380695228696683472015-01-22T23:41:38.113-05:002015-01-22T23:41:38.113-05:00Giving them (a very small) benefit of the doubt, m...Giving them (a very small) benefit of the doubt, maybe they always intended to share the information, but not without - as Buffy pointed out - making her feel as small as possible. To make themselves feel important again, useful. Since Buffy quit and Faith went to jail, they've had no purpose. And well, I guess their self-esteem is so shitty that this is how they get their jollies.Zelda Knapphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00654314419681927384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063141388797173496.post-37415432092561499222015-01-22T23:38:20.506-05:002015-01-22T23:38:20.506-05:00I love this episode and Buffy telling off Quentin ...I love this episode and Buffy telling off Quentin is the best but the Council's plan makes no sense. Withold valuable information from the only one capable of saving the world because that's useful. I mean, she may lose but shouldn't they want her to have all the knowledge she can have against her opponent to give her the best shot at defeating Glory and I don't know...saving the fucking world?

They do realize that if she loses, they die, right? They didn't think their plan through. Or they are even bigger douches than I already thought they were because they wanted to spend their last moments on Earth lording their power over the Slayer. Ugh. You're right that it's rarely given that much attention to detail.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
